Although the renowned 'Star of India' in the Apollo Centre, Los Cristianos has a terrific reputation, it's not so well known that Gary, Camal and Seamus also own a sister restaurant of equally good quality and value which sits on the lower esplanade right alongside the beautiful Playa de Torviscas. Apart from the extensive A la Carte menu (Prawn Puree a must), there is a superb 10Euro buffet where you can eat as much as you like from 5.00pm until 8.00pm.

The Manager, Michael, and Jacky the Chef like to provide a buffet menu that varies from day to day and features three main dishes such as Chicken Tikka Masala, Prawn Korma etc., along with a variety of side dishes, rice dishes and starters. Breads and papadums are extra.

The food is exquisite and the service provided by Michael and his team Heather and Pablo is friendly and first class.

Sitting here on a warm balmy evening in front of the beach, the sea and an amazing Tenerife sunset with a cool beer and fabulous 'Star of the East' cuisine is about as good as it gets.
